Hanna Ojamo (b.1978 in Helsinki) graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts, UniArts Helsinki in 2003 and from the Sibelius Academy, UniArts Helsinki in 2013. She holds a Master of Music in Arts Management and a Master of Fine Arts degree. Her Master's thesis dealt with the economic crisis and its effects on leadership. funding and strategy in contemporary affiliate art museums in the U.S and Finland, MoMA PS1, New York and Kiasma Museum of Contemporary Art, Helsinki. At the moment, she prepares her PhD studies on cultural policy, sociology and funding of the arts at the MuTri Doctoral School, Research study programme, Sibelius Academy, Uniarts Helsinki researching the growth of populism in contemporary European cultural policy and the renewal process of the funding for the arts in Finland ("Vos", state subsidy system for orchestras and museums). Ojamo has a decade of experience from the third sector as well as leading positions in arts organizations. Aside from her own research, she lectures on cultural policy, career development, applied sciences and runs an international residency program for artists and researchers that she founded in 2010. She has also worked i.e as a producer, film director, artistic director, and President and chairman of the board of the FAA, Artists' Association of Finland, in 2010–2013. Ojamo has held numerous trustee positions in foundations, associations, and NGOs in Finland.
